The mission of the Instructional Resource Center is to provide a variety of quality instructional materials and to support the effective use of these materials.

At the Instructional Resource Center, teachers are our heroes. We take pride in providing the best instructional resources available to support their teaching strategies and their students' diverse learning styles.

Although we are best known for managing the division media collection, our services also include duplicating videotapes, CDs & DVDs, as well as computer software; sponsoring training in effective use of media; representing the school division on WHRO's Regional Schools Contracting and Planning Committee (RSCPC); supporting teleconferences delivered by satellite signal; managing the Teacher Production Center; and distributing information on other instructional resources.

Located on South Independence Blvd., the Instructional Resource Center also houses a digital video editing suite and a teleconference center that serves as a downlink site for a number of teleconference opportunities. We can accommodate up to thirty participants with one-way video and two-way audio interaction as well as a fax machine and Internet connection for interaction with presenters.
